Your files

Every tool on shrink.run runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, stored or seen by us. When you compress an image or merge a PDF, the work happens on your own device; the results exist only in your browser's memory until you download them or close the page. We could not access your files even if we wanted to — the site has no server-side processing at all.

Data we handle

We do not require accounts, do not set our own tracking cookies and do not collect personal information. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data — such as IP addresses — to serve pages and protect against abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

This free site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. For more detail, see how Google uses information from partner sites.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date. The core promise will not change: your files stay on your device.
